Retired Multi-Trade Master Tradesman and Virginia Licensed Home Inspector
Time: 9 am to 4 pm

Just in time for the cooling season, this 6-Hour session focuses totally on Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps. With more than 40 years in the trades, Kenny Hart, a retired Master HVAC Technician, Gas Fitter and Plumber uses live instruction, animated PowerPoint slides, short video clips and some on-site exhibits to teach you what you should know about these systems.
The course begins with a review of the basic science behind refrigeration. You will see water boil at room temperature. The refrigeration circuit for both A/C and heat pumps will be thoroughly reviewed. System components and their functions in the refrigeration circuit will be explained. And though the session primarily focuses on air-to-air systems, the basics of geothermal thermal systems will be covered too.
If you currently are taking a quick Delta T reading during your inspections and then moving on, you don't want to miss this. The inspection tips Kenny with offer, including the additional temperatures you can gather, will give you and your client greater confidence in your A/C and heat pump inspections. Dozens of defects will be shown including a common condensate drain mistake that often results in serious flooding.
Space is limited to 20 attendees. Register early.
