Exam Prep Classes and Tutoring
Our Exam Prep Classes are held on Tuesday nights unless otherwise noted. We have approximately 6 months of upcoming 2026 classes and the dates posted below. The classes are held at our facility located at 209 Business Park Drive, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23462. We are about 1/2 a mile from Top Golf. Enter through the right front door and feel free to bring a snack or dinner. Classes begin at 7 pm and are approximately 2-hours in duration. They are primarily sold as a 4-night package at $89.00 and you can register and pay below. Purchase a 4-night pass and attend any 4 nights on the schedule and save more than $10.00.
If you would like to attend just a single class, we allow walk-ins but please call or text 24 hours before that night's session begins. Walk-ins are charged $25.00 for that night's class. Please have exact change or a check payable to the Building Practices and Trades School. We cannot make change.
The content of these classes comes from the International Residential Code (IRC), the NFPA Life Safety Code Handbook, National Electrical Code, the National Home Inspector Exam Manuals, the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics of several major nationally recognized home inspector organizations and more. Unlike our live pre-license classes that stress the Commonwealth of Virginia does not allow code to be cited in reports, our exam prep classes do contain code related content. Take a look at the class schedule below and decide whether individual classes or a 4-night package of classes is what you need. If you need more, we offer tutoring. Call or text and let's discuss a plan and a price to fit your needs. 757-406-9317.
